Beef & Vegetable Crepes for Dogs Recipe
Making crepes for yourself? Your dog can join in on this 3-ingredient treat. Take it to the next level by stuffing it with Dog Child Mixed Veggie Meal Mix for a filling meal. Roll it up the traditional way or fold it like a quesadilla.
2 Cups Flour (all purpose, can substituted with dog-friendly alternatives)
2 Large Eggs
2 Cups Milk (cow, can be substituted with dog-friendly alternatives)
1 3/4 Cups of Dog Child Mixed Veggie Meal Mix
1 Cup Water
1 lbs of Ground Beef
4 Tbsp Olive Oil
In a mixing bowl, add Meal Mix and water, combine until the mix has been rehydrated - can add more water if necessary.
Thoroughly cook your ground beef (can be substituted with lamb, pork, chicken or turkey).
Mix oil and protein in with the Dog Child Meal Mix.
In a mixing bowl, add flour, eggs, and milk. Whisk until smooth and runny - can add more milk until desired consistency is reached. It should be thinner than typical pancake batter.
Bring a pan to medium heat, then coat it with olive oil.
Scoop the crepe batter with a ladle and pour over the pan, distributing evenly for a thin layer.
When the middle begins to bubble and become firm, flip it over.
When your stack is completed, lay a crepe on a plate. For a traditional crepe, spread a heaping tablespoon of filling, then roll it horizontally. We topped it with cucumber and mango - can be substituted with veggies and fruits of choice.
For a quesadilla twist, cut one vertical slit from the middle to the bottom edge. Imagine the crepe is divided into 4 corners. Spread a heaping tablespoon of filling in the top left corner. Then take the bottom left corner and fold it over the top left corner. Next, sprinkle cucumber in the top right corner. Take the top left corner and flip it on top. Repeat with the bottom right corner - we used bell pepper - until you’re left with a compact wrap.
Plate it for your pup and enjoy!
