Ingredients

870g Beef, chuck cubes (fresh)
946g Water (4 cups)
150g Barley, pearled/hulled (1 cup uncooked)
200g Tomatoes, half small can (1 cup canned - diced)
150g Broccoli (fresh or frozen - 2 cups)
150g Carrots, raw (1.5 cups)
100g White Button Mushrooms (about 4 fresh)
80g Dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix (4 Tbsp)

Directions

In a pot, cook your add beef chunks, uncooked barley and water for 10 minutes until it comes to a simmer - low heat and cook for 30 minutes
Add in your vegetables and canned tomatoes. Slowly mix and place the lid on.
Let simmer for about 30-45 minutes until the barley is cooked
Remove the lid and let a bit of water cook out for an additional 15 minutes
At this step, pull apart the beef to check if it is tender enough - should easily come off with a fork, if not, keep on heat for 5-10 more minutes until beef is tender
Let cool and shred the beef into small pieces
Add your dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix
Mix thoroughly
Portion out & serve to your pup!
