Just chop up a few veggies and toss some rice and salmon together and your pup will have a healhty dinner in no time. This homemade salmon dog food is a great source of Omega 3 essential fatty acids for your pup. We recommend either salt-free canned salmon for dogs or you can follow our recipe for easy instructions on how to cook salmon for dogs. Also fish should only be fed as 15% of your dog's diet.

Ingredients

525g or 1.2 lbs Salmon (De-Boned) or Canned
4 Cups 960g or 33.8 Oz of Water
200g or 7 Oz or 2 Carrots (Include Tops)
1 Cup or 160g or 5.65 Oz of Green Peas (Fresh or Frozen)
2 Cups and ¾ Cup or 225g or 7.9 Oz of Brown Rice (Uncooked)
½ Cup + 1 Tbsp or 72g or 2.52 Oz of Dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix

Directions

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and add in ¾ cup of rinsed brown rice, cook covered simmering for 30 minutes or until rice is cooked. (add in carrots and peas at 20-minute mark).
Preheat your oven to 350 F. Put the salmon in tin foil and place it on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Always check for any bones in the salmon. Alternatively, you can use salt-free canned salmon.
Finely dice carrots and peas in a food processor or by hand.
Add carrots and peas into the cooking brown rice when there are 10 minutes left (if using already cooked brown rice then lightly steam veggies).
Add cooked or canned salmon to the rice mixture.
Stir in the Dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix.
Turn off the heat and let it cool completely before serving.

Recipe Note

Fish should only be fed as 15% of your dog's diet.

Storage:

Store in fridge for 3 days or in the freezer for up to 90 days
