Hi, I'm Nicole, founder of Dog Child and dog mom to Billy and Cricket. I created this community because I know
how confusing and overwhelming home cooking can feel at first.
With the help of animal nutritionist Katie McCaul, along with our team of vet advisors, we built a trusted space
where dog parents like you can get expert guidance, easy recipes, and total peace of mind.

Katie McCaul, Canine Nutritionist BSc ANutR - Animal Nutritionist
Katie began her career as a veterinary nurse, where she saw firsthand how nutrition can prevent
disease and transform a dog’s health. She went on to earn a
BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Physiology and later became an
Associate Registered Nutritionist (AfN), recognized for her science-led approach to fresh
feeding.
With over two decades of experience in canine nutrition and wellness, Katie now focuses on
teaching dog parents & vets how to confidently feed balanced, fresh meals using real food and evidence-based
guidance.
