Valentine's Day is the perfect time to show your furry best friend some extra love - what better way to do that than with homemade cookies that are both delicious and nutritious? Beets are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, which can help boost your pup's immune system, so these treats aren't just about indulgence but also about staying healthy.
Depending on the size of your cut outs, the recipe makes around 30 treats! Just remember they are a treat… don’t feed them to your pup all at once!

Ingredients
2 Cups Oat Flour, plus extra for rolling station
1/3 Cup Natural 100% Peanut Butter (Sugar, Salt and Xylitol Free)
1 Egg, Beaten
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
3 Tablespoons Organic Honey
1/4 Cup Organic Beet Powder
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of your flour, peanut butter, egg, applesauce and honey until well incorporated.
Add beet powder and knead with hands. Slowly combine the second half of flour. The dough should not be sticky. If your dough is sticky, add extra flour a little at a time and knead together with your hands.
On a clean, dry surface, sprinkle flour on your station. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut your ❤️ cookies.
Bake cookies for 10 mins. If cookies are larger, bake for 12-14 mins. Cool completely before serving.
