Preheat oven to 250F
Prepare Ingredients. Crack 12 eggs in a separating the shells from the rest of the egg. Wondering what to do with eggs check out this recipe
Sterilize Egg Shells. Boil water and place shells in boiling water and boil for 25 minutes
Dry Out Egg Shells. Place eggs on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 20 minutes or until egg shells are completely dry
Turn Egg Shells Into a Powder. Place dried egg shells in a food processor add process food for 5 minutes. Transfer to a mortar and pestle and grind egg shells for about 5 more minutes or until egg shells turn to a fine powder
Enjoy! A general guideline is to add 5 grams of eggshell powder to 1 kg of homemade dog food.

We used farm-bought eggs as many grocery store eggs are washed in chemicals. However, after speaking to sources at different egg producers the chemical mixes are not harmful. We decided to err on the side of caution.
This recipe made 72 grams or 2.5 ounces of caclium powder.
