This twist on a Shepherd's Pie is not difficult to make, and it is a great dog food substitute to give your pup a break from pre-packaged or dehydrated dog food. They will go crazy for the meat filling mixed with the tender potatoes.

Ingredients

272g (2) White Potatoes
454g or 1 lbs of Ground Beef
3 Cups or 720g or 25.4 Oz of Water
1 Cup or 160g or 5.65 Oz of Green Peas (Fresh or Frozen)
145g or 5.1 Oz or 4 Carrots (Include Tops)
2/3 Cups or 57g or 2 Oz of Corn Kernel (Fresh or Frozen)
½ Tbsp or 7g or 0.25 Oz of Olive Oil
½ Cup + 1 Tbsp or 72g or 2.52 Oz of Dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix

Directions

Thoroughly wash potatoes and carrots then finely chop by hand or in a food processor.
Add the ground beef to your pan along with 3 cups of water, the potatoes and carrots.
Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the beef is thoroughly cooked and the potatoes are tender.
Add in corn and peas for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and add in Dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix and olive oil, mix well.
Let cool and bon appetit!

Recipe Note

Storage:

Store in fridge for 3 days or in the freezer for up to 90 days.
